INDIA & ITS MISMANAGEMENT

We all live in a country which craves for attaining a developed state. But, to be very honest, we still have not understood an important requisite for progress. It is nothing but “maintenance”. Our country has always been a connoisseur in exploiting the available entities and mismanaging things from time immemorial. Apt examples for such places are the RTO Office and the Regional Passport Office. In our country, all the places where the luminaries gather are air-conditioned, where as the places where common people gather are sweaty where we could hardly see a fan.

Especially in the places mentioned above, we can see a lot of bewilderment and spats. This is mainly because there is no one to question the government offices. Also it becomes mandatory for people to ingratiate officers in those places. Else these officers are bound to retaliate not by causing any personal harm, but by not moving their files. Another appropriate example is the “Taj Mahal”. This magnum opus is facing mishandling to the core. After the last piece of marble in Taj Mahal wrecks due to pollution and mismanagement, people of this vast country will resent for losing such a work of art!!

RACING - AN ALARMING SPORT!!!

Today, amusement comprises a major portion of everybody’s life. One of the burning issues today is dearth of natural resources. One such resource is petroleum. People are looking for alternative resources but they tend to forget that they can still save petrol. There is one solution for this but the implementation of this salvation process depends on the cooperation of the people. The solution is to stop or at least reduce the racing conducted solely for entertainment purpose. Western countries spend tonnes of petrol every day for racing because of the craze that they have for that sport. Race fuel consumption rate is normally around 75 liters per 100 kilometers (absolutely ridiculous isn’t it!!). In earlier days, any sport that involved only people and no machines were endorsed.

But today, due to precipitous enhancement in technology, many aristocratic, sophisticated sports have been introduced. Leaving sports aside, people have started savoring such sports solely for entertainment purpose. Instead of bike or car racing, cycle racing can be promoted. This indirectly avoids pollution and promotes good health. Once an initial step is taken, people will soon understand the importance of such an action and will extend their patronage with amazing celerity. Generically speaking, any sport activity that leads to the wastage of petrol must be prohibited. Though this is not practically facile, efforts can be taken to slowly control the quantity of petrol used for that purpose. If this is done there will be something left for the future generations to savor.

SAY "YES" TO ONLINE EXAMS

The most debated issue of the yesteryear was the fact that “CAT EXAM GOES ONLINE”. There is an indirect advantage in conducting exams online. With around two lakhs students attending the exam around 200 trees have been saved. This saves the earth from global warming which is the patent reason for the global rise in temperature. It is scientifically proven that a tree provides oxygen sufficient for a family of four. This is one point of view. The other point of view is that moving to online exams will also give more prominence to objective type questions and hence it will help us to bring out students with conceptual skill than students whose knowledge is confined to books. Also by conducting online exams, we can take the educational system equivalent to that of western countries which honor pragmatic excellence. Though we are aware of the technical glitches that can arise out of it, it can be solved with the same technology itself. Online exams in the primary stage of education can bring the transition in them and will aid them to turn to child prodigies.

SAY NO TO BIRTHDAY BUMPS!!

College life is full of amusement and excitement. Generically speaking, different people have different ways of expressing their ecstasy. People say that a person sometimes tends to forget the help rendered but never forget a wallop or whipping received. Students studying in colleges express their joy by clobbering their friends at their back continuously until they are pleased with their performance (HE HE). What a style of expressing happiness!! Jokes apart, this issue may seem to be innocuous. But this is a significant area of concern. Usually students whack their friends at their back. There are cases where students have seriously bruised their back bone and required surgery. Is this what the students require? Usually when a person accomplishes a feat or on his/her birthday, he is given “bumps” i.e he/she is beaten up. Is this the treatment he/she deserves? Yes, college life must be relished. But there must be a sensible way of rejoicing. Anyways, every person must enjoy the college life to the maximum extent as this can never be brought back. When we grow old, we tend to have the reminiscence of the past and such memories (including the bumps) will be sweet and pleasant.

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

It is well known that the quality of food people consume today has deteriorated. This has turned out to be the principal rationale for the outburst of copious ailments. Scientists have found medicines to cure these ailments but no medicine has been discovered by them to shun them. But today a universal medication to cure all kinds of diseases is available. It is nothing but laughter. Laughter not only prompts people to accost you but also has other in-built advantages. Laughter helps us to chuck out strain and it is scientifically proven that laughter has the capability to alleviate corporal and mental agony in case of any injury or stress or hullabaloo. Laughter is a must for people who involve in drudgery. Their stress level can be diminished by laughter. Today, many TV programs that stimulate mirth are being telecasted which are desirable for children to reduce exam stress and adults to reduce work stress. Such programs must be fortified by the people and people must make it a perfunctory action to savor fun, amusement and recreation.

DWINDLING TIGERS

In earlier days, seeing a tiger, prima facie, a feeling of trepidation arose. But now, a glimpse of a tiger arouses a feeling of compassion and sympathy. Human beings are the most self-centered thinkers. To be very honest, human being, with an attitude of dominating the entire world, tries to enslave all the other creatures in the globe. Bacteria and viruses are the only two creatures that humans could not enslave! As we read the news about the dwindling count of the Tigers in the world, we express our commiseration towards that and forget it in a jiffy. The count of these poor wild cats is slowly ebbing away. Human beings may be rational enough to create Tigers through cloning (a Tolly may be created just like Dolly! he he). But clones are never a supernumerary for genuine ones. Tigers are invaluable bounties given by nature to us. Let us make sure that our progression does not hinder the survival of the wild cats. Instead of trying to harness the animals let us try to live in harmony with them and create a world of peace and prosperity.
LONG LIVE TIGERS!!!!

REMIX - SHOULD THIS BE ENCOURAGED?

People of today dislike monotonous music irrespective of the language and they expect a concoction of different types of music. Now let me throw light on tamil. Also the eminent poets and writers are running out of words in this vast language with myriad words in it. Proponents of remix are greeted today with bunch of roses. But should they be really encouraged? Maestros of music have expressed their opinions that "familiarity breeds contempt". Adversaries of remix accuse proponents of music that "for them, the grass is always greener on the other side!". They are cock sure that people will come out of this snare.
One needs a lot of courage to do a remix. The main drawback of remix is that these songs, though they capture people's heart in a frenetic pace, they fail to make an enduring impact in the hearts of people. These doughty connoisseurs of remix are extremely assertive that people will definitely extend their support to pioneers to provide more groundbreaking creations. Holus-bolus, we can come to the conclusion that music is meant for savoring. People must come forward to encourage all sorts of innovative ideas but must make sure that this newfangled idea does not eradicate the pristine, age-old form of music.
